Good to be back although that severe snow storm arriving tomorrow has my wrist and ankle acting up some bad. I hate getting old, too much misery to manage, life was so much easier when all I had to manage was a hangover.
Twice Background is not the distance from the source to the cold zone times 2!! Background is naturally occuring radiation. You take that reading and walk towards the source. Where that reading doubles is the beginning of your hot zone!
So can you explain as to exactly at what distance do you take the first reading - or is that irrelevant?? As for hotspots I only really know of one and I cannot really divulge into any detail over the net! Noz - is this the same cert you are looking totally excited about...this equation sounds like one of your maritime riddles??? A little advice - never under-estimate your elders...knowledge is power!
