We recieved a phone call from Edna two days ago that they have put Aunt Sally in a nursing home in Woodstock on Sunday. She was getting too forgetful and disoriented, making it dangerous for her to live on her own. They have tried to find the necessary in home help but it to, became too difficult.
Edna called again this evening to tell us Aunt Sally fell down stairs at the new home and broke her hip. Go figure. She is in hospital and surgery is required in the near future. Other than this she is in good health. Aunt Sally will be 92 yrs. this summer.
(Aunt Sally is Burns' brother, Walters' wife.) She is the last one of thier generation. She is also the one who met Catherine at the ship in Halifax when she first came to Canada.
